These lofthouse cookies are so simple and delicous! They are like a cake like sugar cookie, so good!

Prep time: 15 mins
Cook time: 9 mins
Total time: 1 hr
Cookies:
1/2 cup softened
1 cup of white granulated sugar
1/2 cup of sour cream
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 cups of flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
Frosting:
1/2 cup of sofened butter
2 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar
3 Tbsp of milk
1 tsp of vanilla
pinch of salt
Directions:
Add butter and sugar into a bowl, with an electric hand mixer cream together.
Fold in your sour cream
Add eggs and vanilla
mix
add dry ingredients (flour, salt and cream of tartar) to wet.
Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes
While your dough is in the fridge, preheat you oven to 350F
Roll out your dough on a floured surface, cut circles (if you do not have a circle cookie cutter you can use the rim of a glass), and place on an ungreased baking tray.
Bake for 9-11 minutes
While in oven, make your frosting.
Combine your butter and sugar, mix it as much as you can before going in with an electric mixer, beat until smooth
Add vanilla and milk, beat.
add optional foor coloring.
let cookies cool for at least 10 minutes after taking out of oven.
Frost and decorate!
